Newspaper advertising vs video
Backyard video is cost effective compared to newspaper advertising.
There is a quiet revolution underway; participants are being rewarded. Individuals and organizations that need to “get the word out” are limited to some form of print media. Newspaper insert advertising was the most affordable print media.
Short duration video ads are used to lead into more robust content on a website or social media page. A successful 30 second video is billed at $70. The video, combined with web based content, delivers a stronger message than newspaper advertising. Sample Video
Radio and TV are just too expensive. They are strong media. You can offer more content in a one minute video than you can read. The only hurdle has been the cost of video production. The good news is; we can now run effective video ads on the internet for what it costs to run newspaper inserts!
Audio/Video equipment has evolved making it possible to produce effective video at significantly reduced cost. Studio quality video productions start at about $1,500 per minute and go up from there. What I refer to as “back-yard video” is produced for much less; $40 to $100 per minute, bringing video well within the reach of most individuals and groups trying to communicate with a targeted audience.
